Tennessean Golf Course

Paris Landing State Park and Golf Course
This 841-acre state park is Kentucky Lake's portal to the natural wildlife and beautiful surroundings of West Tennessee's lake region. With a history that spans back into the mid 1800's, Paris Landing State Park offers many sites and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Take an afternoon boat ride across our bay to see an amazing par 3 overlooking the water. Paris Landing Golf Course and State Park is located just a few miles away from Buchanan Resort. During the summer months you can catch a show at the amphitheater, play tennis or basketball, have a picnic, swim or fish.

Land Between The Lakes
Take a trip back in time and discover the majestic tranquility of Tennessee at Land Between the Lakes. LBL is located 4 miles from Buchanan Resort. Take a refreshing drive through this area and see things like elk, bison, old steel mills and take a tour of a working Homestead from the 1850's.

Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge
To the south of Buchanan Resort is the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge. It's not uncommon to see deer, bald eagles, geese, ducks and a variety of other waterfowl while you explore the 50,000 acres set on and around beautiful Kentucky Lake. The whole area is designated as a refuge for migratory birds and wildlife.

Fort Donelson
Just over Kentucky Lake you can visit the site of one of Tennessee's most famous battles during the Civil War. Stand among the cannons on the Cumberland River bluff, and relive the furious battle with the Union gunboats. Fort Donelson offers an informational museum and audiovisual program, as well as self-guided tours so that you can explore the site of the North's first major victory over the South. Hiking trails are also available for nature lovers, and a bookstore offers books and souvenirs to remind you of this unique experience.
